About Us
Rindt-McDuff Associates is a company of engineers and scientists who are ethical, skilled, and hardworking problem solvers. Most importantly, RMA works as a team and has succeeded, for decades, by adhering to a stable set of values where Clients, and their interests, are our top priority.
Our Culture Defines Us
RMA is a team environment where we value and respect our employees and Clients. Character is highly valued, consequently, a person’s character factors heavily in our hiring practices. We seek employees who are not only technically strong in their field, but who are also genuine, modest, hardworking, and take personal ownership in all of their work. As a result, RMA employees are confident but humble. We encourage accountability throughout our team, no matter the employee’s position within the company. We also value professional and respectful communication. As a result, those we work with trust us. This value system promotes an environment where employees can communicate freely and collaborate with teammates to obtain the best results for our clients. In addition, we value our clients and know that our commitment to quality and teamwork is an investment in those Client relationships.
Our Values Testify to Our Commitment
RMA prioritizes Clients and employees before our profits:
- Clients – We value our trusted relationships. Let’s face it, we wouldn’t be in business without our Clients.
- Employees – we value our people and, from a business perspective, we couldn’t serve our Clients without our team.
- Profit – We believe that profits will flow naturally if we put or Clients and employees first.
- Community – We believe strongly in giving back to the community in which we live, work, and serve.
We Have a Rich History
RMA was founded in 1980 when Brian Rindt and Charles McDuff merged their firms. Unquestionably, these two men were leaders in the industry. They both had experience in larger firms, where, they felt, not enough value was placed on Clients and coworkers. At the start, Charles McDuff served as President of RMA until 1994, when Brian Rindt succeeded him and served until 1998. Since that time, RMA has successfully transitioned to a newer generation of leaders who continue to build upon this vision and set of values.
We Are Involved in the Things That Matter
Notably, RMA employees are involved in local, state, and national organizations that help us strengthen our relationships, knowledge, and communication through network connections, tradeshows, and sponsorships.
Engineering Memberships/Associations – RMA employees are actively involved in alliances, societies, associations, and organizations that promote knowledge, networking, and community involvement. Our active memberships include:
- Air and Waste Management Association
- Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP)
- Georgia Manufacturing Alliance
- Georgia Rural Water Association
- Georgia Society of Professional Engineers
- Southeastern Stormwater Association (SESWA)
Community Involvement – RMA believes in supporting our local community. In fact, each employee is given paid time, each year, to invest in a community organization or cause that they choose. Some of the more recognized charities our employees have volunteered with include:
- Center for Family Resources
- Feed My Starving Children
- MATHCOUNTS (coaching mathematics in schools)
- MUST Ministries
- STEM Events in Local Schools
- Toys for Tots (toy drives held by RMA for over twenty years)
Safety
Because we value our employees and Clients, we genuinely care about the safety and well-being of each person who is involved in a project. Accordingly, we have an ongoing internal training program that includes classes on safety-related items. Rindt-McDuff Associates also subscribes to ISN, Avetta, and Browz. These companies are well-known and respected Third-Party Safety Compliance Vendor Management groups. As such, these vendor management groups document our company’s safety program for some of our Clients. In addition, they provide an interface between the Client and RMA to establish and exchange safety compliance information. Without a doubt, the requirements are very strict and require documentation focused primarily on safety. Clearly, our quality is backed up by the checks and balances of these groups.
